How It Works

How does FurFlow work?
Towel off the initial drips, zip your pet into the bag, and clip your own hair dryer onto the hose. Warm air circulates through the bag and around your pet, drying them from every angle instead of just wherever you happen to be pointing a dryer by hand. Most pets are dry to the skin in 12 to 25 minutes.

Do I need a special dryer?
No. The hose collar fits standard household hair dryers and forced-air blowers up to 1800W and beyond. If you already own a hair dryer, you're set.

Is it safe for my pet?
Yes, when used as directed. The bag has a silver heat-reflective lining and breathable mesh vents so air keeps moving rather than building up heat. Always use your dryer's cool or low-heat setting and never leave your pet unattended while drying.

Sizing

What size should I get?
It depends on your pet's weight, not their species — the same bag fits both cats and dogs, sized to whoever's climbing in.

• S — 2.5 to 5 kg (smaller cats, Chihuahua, Toy Poodle, Pomeranian)
• M — 5 to 10 kg (most adult cats, Cavoodle, Beagle, Mini Schnauzer)
• L — 10 to 20 kg (Maine Coon, Border Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Staffy)
• XL — 20 to 30 kg (Labrador, Golden Retriever, Boxer)

If your pet sits between two sizes, size up — the back closure adjusts down to fit smaller.

What's the difference between the sizes for cats and dogs?
None — it's the same bag. Sizing is based purely on weight and body shape, not species.

Cats Specifically

Will this actually work on a cat?
Yes. The bag's enclosed design and the way it muffles the dryer's noise means many cats tolerate it far better than a handheld dryer pointed directly at them. Every cat is different, but this is genuinely one of the reasons we built FurFlow for both species rather than dogs only.

My cat panics at the sound of a hair dryer. Will this help?
Often, yes. Because the dryer isn't held right up to your cat's head and the sound is somewhat contained by the bag, many owners find it noticeably calmer than a traditional dry. We'd still suggest a slow first introduction — let your cat get used to being zipped in before turning the dryer on, rather than doing both at once.

Using It

Where should I place my pet during drying?
Anywhere your pet is comfortable and you can keep an eye on them — a bath mat, their bed, or the floor works well. There's no need for a specific spot.

How long does one bag last?
With normal use and care, your FurFlow bag is built to last for years of regular bath days, not a handful of uses.

Does it fold flat for storage?
Yes. It folds down small enough to fit in a linen closet or drawer between baths.

Can I wash it?
Yes. Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap for light marks. For a full wash, hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent and air dry completely before storing — avoid machine washing, tumble drying, or ironing, as heat and agitation can damage the heat-reflective lining and elastic closures. Make sure the bag is fully dry before folding it away to prevent odour or mildew.

Will It Get Rid Of An Existing Problem?

My pet already has matted fur or a skin issue. Will this fix it?
FurFlow dries your pet faster and more thoroughly after a bath — it isn't a grooming, deshedding, or medical treatment tool. For matting, skin conditions, or ongoing coat issues, please speak with your vet or a professional groomer.
